Luxury Travel Guide for Naples, FL: Where to Stay, Dine, and Unwind
I was born and raised in Naples, FL and figured it was time to share my local insight. Naples is a luxurious place with the Everglades at its back door and many great restaurants. Naples is a great weekend getaway for those living in the Miami area or a fun holiday spot to gather as a family. Naples is family vacation friendly and a relaxing couples getaway!
Why Visit Naples?
Naples is all about sitting by the beach during the day and delicious meals in the evenings. Naples was a hidden gem until about 5 years ago many people discovered how wonderful a place it is to live and vacation. The beaches are white sandy and located on the gulf coast. Since its popularity Naples has many new restaurants and attractions being built. It seems like every year there is a new place to check out. Naples has a variety of hotels ranging from The Ritz Carlton to The Perry Hotel. There is also a Four Seasons being built and we are all looking forward to the finish!
Naples is a relaxing beach town. However there is no shortage of flashy cars and big mansions. Naples is the one of the top spots for the highest amount of millionaires per capita. It is not loud and busy like the Florida east coast, and it has a sophistication that makes a simple holiday luxurious.
Best Time to VISIT
The busiest time in Naples is during the winter months of December thru February. I do not recommend traveling at this time and would visit before or after this peak tourist time. In May it starts to slow down and many seasonal people head back up north. May can be some of the clearest water and makes it a great time to go out on the water. May is the best time to enjoy the beach and take a boat out on the Gulf. After June many locals will travel out of Naples since families are out of school, and restaurants may have more limited hours of operation. November can be busy however, the weather starts to get cooler and beautiful for outdoor activities like Baker Park and exploring the Everglades. If you don’t mind a little bit of traffic for more going on November can be a nice time to visit.

Travel Tips
The closest airport is Fort Myers RSW and there are many taxis available. I recommend a rental car for ease since Naples does not have many public transportation options. Depending on the time of visit bring bug spray in the evening, we can get mosquitos. Many hotels will offer beach shuttles and Uber is available.
